Re: Surveillance
My mother can't go into electronic stores because she says she "feels the eyes all over her". My Dad and I used to make fun of her for it until one day she came home with a tally sheet from Best Buy. 166 cameras she counted in that store. 166..Damn... The Wire has definitely enhanced my paranoia in simply making me more aware of being watched. I spent my high school years in the country where there was literally no one around. When I moved to Austin, I almost went crazy just trying to be alone for one moment. I never realized how much I cherished the sanctity of not having eyes, electronic or organic, constantly tracking my every move. What's the point? Why is it necessary?
